Guyanese- SAINt JHN, an American artist, has not released a full-length album since November 2020. Since then, however, he has consistently provided fans with singles. He released “For The Squadron” in early February 2022 and “Stadiums” in mid-December. It is currently unknown whether any of these songs will be included on an upcoming album. However, JHN released a tweet in the middle of last year that detailed his thought process when it comes to albums.
“I don’t make albums; I make collections,” she says. It takes time to build an art collection. “Don’t rush my Basquiat,”
he instructed.
However, shortly after his December song, he released “Overstimulated” as his first release of 2023 last week (Feb. 3). It’s difficult to imagine an increase in the frequency of song releases like this not being related to an upcoming project. When he dropped “Roses” and “Gorgeous” before his 2020 LF While The World Was Burning, he followed a similar pattern.
This pattern was reinforced on Friday (Feb. 10) when Saint Jhn released another new song titled “You Laughed at Me.” The song was initially released exclusively on YouTube in August of last year, but it was quickly removed for unknown reasons. Perhaps he still needed to obtain clearance before the cut could be made available on digital streaming platforms.
