[Story] His Bartender – Part 18 & 19

It was 3 in the morning, the stars where all out and I saw Polaris staring right at me from the above. It was freezing outside and my body could barely keep me warm. I was wearing black leggings, and a dark red sweater with a dark black boots.

“Come on, we’re almost there,” Christopher whispered in my ear.

“It’s way to cold outside, and too early Chris.” I said, trying to warp my arms even tighter around me.

After finding out the tragic news about my parents death Chris quickly booked a flight to Italy. I packed everything quickly and we ran out the door. Right now, we’re quickly walking towards the plane that Chris’s friend owns. It’s jet black and the tips of the wings are painted dark gold color. As we walked up the stairs into the cabin the hot air hit my face and I couldn’t be any more happier.

I plopped down on the brown leather chair and got more comfortable. In the mean time, Chris walked towards the pilots cabin and I heard him exchange a couple words. Soon after that Chris sat down next to me and put on my seat belt.

“Do you want anything to drink? Coffee? Tea?” he asked.

“Green tea will be perfect.” he nodded and walked towards a small table and turned on the tea, so it will warm up.

“The lift off is going to be in a couple of minutes. So just get comfortable, everything is going to be fine.” he assured me giving me a small smile.

I was glad that Chris was here with me, I don’t know what I would do without him. He’s so caring, smart, understanding, nothing like a gang leader should be. Even though as I was checking out his cute butt I saw that he had a gun hanging on his belt.

He brought a hot cup of tea on the small table that was in front of me and places it in the cup holder.

“Careful it’s hot.”

I nodded and gently touched the paper to warm up my hands.

“So what’s going to happen with the bodies?” I asked him, getting right to the point.

“They’re probably in the death facility at the hospital. It’s really your choice Mia. We can fly the bodies into your hometown and bury them there. Or keep them in Italy.”

“It costs like 15 thousand dollars to fly a body from a country to another, and so much paperwork.”

He places his hand on my knee and bent down, “Mia, don’t worry about the price. I’ll find the money, it’s your parents we’re talking about not a stranger.”

“I think we should bury them in France, I don’t want you to get into some trouble and find the money.”

“Please,” I cut him off, “Chris it’s going to be too much work and who know what can happen to the bodies in those couple of days.”

He nodded, “Alright, whatever you want.”

“Is Andre going to be there?” I asked taking a small sip of my green tea.

“Yes, he’s going to be there tomorrow evening, he’s taking care of some business at the moment.”

Then, he sat on the chair next to me and buckled up. Taking his computer out he started to type out some information about this whole situation.

I knew what he meant by business. He’s either killing someone, or going to the drug cartel to receive the packages.

“What about the Donati gang? Are they really the ones who did it?” I asked again, I wanted to know who killed my parents, I need to hear the whole story.

“I’m about 89.3% sure.” Chris answered.

I giggled and he smiled at me, “Point 3. Why not point 9?”

“Could be point 69.” he winked. I pushed him on his right shoulder and he laughed leaning to the side a little bit.

“I’m serious Chris.”

“It was them princess. I’m sure of it. And they will all pay for it alright.”

“You’re not going to go crazy and kill all of them are you? I don’t want to get you in trouble.”

“Babe, I’m a cop not a gang leader. I’m doing what’s right. Those guys will never see another light in their life. Italian Police, and FBI is involved in it they have no where to go.”

I nodded, “Alright, I’m in so much pain Chris.”

“It’s ok baby. It will pass. Remember everyone goes thorough grief. I’m here for you, and everything is going to be ok.”

“I hope so.” I said leaning towards him as he wrapped his arm around me. I felt the plane move and start to turn towards the runway.

As it started to go faster and faster I closed my eyes and let the sleep consume me.

~~Couple Hours Later~

I felt someone kiss my cheek and I opened my eyes, “Morning baby, we’re here. Come on.”

I looked around me and saw Christoper grabbing my bags and packing his laptop into his bag. Yawning, I got up and moved my neck around in a circle to increase the blood flow.

“Where are we going to stay?” I asked.

“Andre has an apartment in South Paris. We’ll stay there the whole day. Tomorrow we’ll see what the Italian police will tell us. I have my guys doing everything they can.” He gave me a hug and I wrapped my arms around him. Hopefully everything will work out, and tomorrow I’m going to feel much better.
